Trump In Putin Trouble

Vice President Kamala Harris criticized former President Trump for his relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin during an interview with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night.

Harris expressed frustration over reports from journalist Bob Woodward's upcoming book that revealed Trump sent rare COVID test machines to Putin early in the pandemic. She pointed out how difficult it was for Americans to access tests during that time, emphasizing how many people were struggling to get tested while hundreds were dying daily. Harris questioned why Trump would prioritize sending test kits to Putin over the needs of the American people, drawing attention to his controversial relationships with other foreign leaders, including North Korea's Kim Jong-un.

Harris also took a jab at Trump’s 2020 election loss while highlighting the strong turnout at her own rallies. She recalled how someone at one of her rallies humorously referred to Trump as a "loser" for losing jobs, manufacturing plants, and the election. In a lighthearted moment, she joked about how drinking beer influenced her remarks.

In response to claims in Woodward's book, a Trump campaign spokesperson dismissed the allegations as "made-up stories" and denied that Trump had given the journalist any access for the book.

Harris also addressed the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict during the interview, discussing the challenges of negotiating a ceasefire and releasing hostages held by Hamas. She acknowledged progress but emphasized that no real victory could be claimed until a deal was finalized. Despite the complexities, she stressed the importance of maintaining hope and continuing efforts to achieve peace.
